New Server Bug #1: Spamming the Heck Out of You with Forum Response Emails (fixed)
November 12, 2008Sorry to those of you who were inundated with 10s or 20s of forum update emails this evening. Please just delete them (don't mark them as spam or our email provider gets uptight). The forum email updater has been modified to be a bit less overzealous.
It simply wants to please, you understand. But between you and me, sometimes I think the emailer just tries a little too hard. "Yes, forum email updater," we assure it, "that is a very impressive number of spurious emails you can send!"
That seems to do the trick.

Well, it’s nice we’re getting our notices now :-) I think I have been posting too much on the forums lately! I received 45 “A reply has been posted” messages in the last 5 hours.
Tell ya what, I promise to uncheck the reply box sometimes if Otto promises to behave and start sending me more “You sold items on Bonanzle” messages. :) Deal? Good. :)

Wow I had about 75 e-mails this morning LOL. They finally started working. I never worried before about “unchecking the box” but now that it works, I will be more careful about which ones I want to receive notices on. Thanks for the update!

Well, I felt like Sally Field this morning when I woke up to 133 messages from Otto in my mailbox…“Wow, they like me, they really like me.” So much fun; gotta love it. Thanks for fixing it.

Suggestion: Put on a Bonanzle YouTube commercial to let everyone know they can very easily transfer their eBay items here and bult edit them for this format. A small How-To-Transfer show. My eBay pictures look absolutely incredible here, much better than what eBay does with them.
