This is an early, original, painting done in tempera on matting board, of a prophet, Christ, or Moses, with a staff, standing on a rock and overlooking a sunset or sunrise. 4 3/8 X 15 inches, unsigned,probably circa 1900, and the back has a stamp for: Kabatznick’s Art & Gift Shop, Boston. The back has remains of matting tape and scuffs. The front has rubs on the edges light soil and light scratching at the top. The colors are lovely, very vivid and remind me of Maxwell Parish.
