I am the author of the copyrighted poem on the plate which is laser printed onto a transparency, framed in double matting which is then attached to the plate with small foam cushions hidden beneath the framed poem. The history of the poem dates back to 1964 when I needed a special wedding present but had very little money to spend. As necessity is so often the mother of invention, I wrote the poem. I then bought a pretty plate and wrapped it with the poem handwritten on a small card inside. My gift was the hit of the day, with everyone! Now so many years later, this little poem with a plate of the buyer's choice has traveled to weddings worldwide. You can have more fun with an unbreakable plate by adding your own handwritten note telling the couple something like you thought they might need more than just once chance to break their plate.
