A swirly Art Nouveau era design of Lotus Blossoms and Leaves graces this wonderful old sash pin and the large faceted Topaz crystal provides a beautiful accent. The stone is bezel set and the pin is of gold gilded stamped metal. The pin bar is thick, extends beyond the edge of the brooch, and closes with the old "C" hook clasp. It is sturdy and in very nice condition.

Naturally, there is some minor age appropriate loss of finish and a very nice patina from age. The only real flaw I see is a tiny flake off the topaz stone that seems to have been done during the manufacturing. It can be noticed upon close inspection when the light strikes just right, but certainly does not detract from the beauty of this lovely old piece.
