The top of this stunning Filigreed Locket is loaded with luminous Blue and White West German Striped Satin Glass Cabochons from the 1960’s accented with opaque White Art Glass Stones. All stones are handset in pronged settings. They are all present and perfect and each blue art glass stone is slightly different from the next. The goldtone filigree work is in very good condition and there is some light wear on the back side. There is some staining on the inside cardboard ovals, which would be covered by photos or could be removed if desired, and shows as a darkened area when looking through the filigree from the back only. Both of the inside frames and plastic coverings to hold photos are present and ready for your pictures. The goldtone chain looks like new and is undoubtedly a replacement. Although the Art Glass stones are West German in origin, this exquisite locket is unmarked.
Measurements: Locket – 1-3/4 inches long and 1-5/8 inches wide. Picture Area – 1-1/4 inches tall and 1 inch wide. Chain – 24 inches long. Most of my jewelry is vintage and pre-owned.
