Birch is known by several folk names, Bereza, Beth, Beithe, Berke and Bouleau. It's associated deity is Thor. Gender type is feminine, planet ruler is Venus and is associated element is water. Birch is used to attract the powers needed for protection annd perification. It is also associated with new beginnings and healing magick.

It measures 11 3/4 inches long and is 9 3/4 inches wide. the binding posts, brass antique finish are 3/4 inch long and can be replaced with longer ones when needed.
