If this is a listing for something that might have multiples, like a cup/saucer or a dinner plate, I probably DO have more than one and will do a great deal on shipping, so please feel free to ask questions.
OK, now, this is a dish listing and there are some things I should be telling you. Unless you are looking at 150 year old dishes, you can assume that there are no cracks or chips. Very few things in my store are new. Unless I say something is new, you can assume that you are buying something that someone else has previously owned. Now, that object may have sat in their china closet, waiting for an occasion worthy of it, and may have the original sticker or paper label on it. You can expect that dishes saved for "best," are in excellent condition. Lots of these dishes were used all the time. Dishes that are used develop utensil marks. Much depends on whether folks are using sharp knives on meat. I try not to buy dishes with lots of utensil marks, and therefore avoid selling them. There will most likely be SOME, sometimes NONE, but often, SOME. My Significant Other bought a new set just before Christmas and the top 2 plates had utensil marks after 2 weeks. I know, what's this guy doing buying dishes? Well, at least we have shared interests, right? Sooooo, ask questions. I take NO RETURNS. Ask questions.
Ask questions, because there are no returns. Use the calculator and remember that UPS and DHL charge extra for what they consider a rural delivery. They also will not deliver to a PO Box. On light weight things, the US Postal Service is usually the best way to go. On packages of some weight, UPS is generally the best rate. Sooooo, it might compute to a better savings for those whose nearest neighbor is a moose, if you had a business location in town where the package could be sent. Or, we can just use the postal service. Yes, there are all sorts of variables involved, but I can make nearly EVERYthing happen!
Shipping will be by either priority mail or by DHL Freight. There is no box to check for figuring the charges by DHL, so I will say UPS, but probably not actually use them. I love to combine for savings, so buy a bunch and AFTER you have completed shopping, email me for the new and improved rate. Please do not pay and then juggle around with refunds and adjustments. There's just too much going on for us to get it right and the site is sometimes really stubborn when I try to alter the figures. SOOOOO, please hold off paying until we get the invoice correct. Oh yeah, just to complicate issues, there is an automatically generated invoice which may have the shipping all out of whack if I haven't been able to head it off at the pass, so to speak. So, before you get all worried about some crazy shipping figure, ask if the shipping has been combined.
