This listing is for an absolutely magnificent 14"x28" pillow in a size that will make a bold and gorgeous statement on your sofa or your bed AND for the 12"x16". They are in a garden design crewel design made from fabric handwoven and made in Italy. It is Not availabe at retail level and a Rare Find valued at well over $250/yard!

It is Magnificently designed in rose red, magenta, mauve, leaf, moss, tan, taupe, brown, emerald, lavender, caramel on a soft mossy green velvet background. It is absolutely Exquisite quality and design, as only exclusive design houses can do.

The second photo shows the reverse side of the velvet crewel so you may see the quality of the workmanship. The reverse of the pillows is in a very posh, heavy, ruby red velvet stripe! The smaller pillow is banded with a ruby red braided cord in a matte finish. On either end of the larger pillow face is is a narrow band of the ruby red velvet and attached where the crewel velvet meets the ruby velvet is a gorgeous woven trim with lustrous tassels to complement the fabric. These are Simply Gorgeous Pillows!

All of the pillows, whether single or in a pair combination, are going to be one-of-a-kind offerings. I don’t sell in bulk. Each pillow is thoughtfully and carefully designed by me. AS most of the fabrics on these pillows are retired patterns, or simply not available at retail level, what is offered is generally all there is. Even if another pillow or set is offered, the trim will be different, so each pillow, pair or set is unique. <o:p></o:p>

Measurements<o:p></o:p>

All measurements are approximate. They are based on a final measurement after sewing is complete, but begin with the size of the insert. The pattern is then generally an inch smaller so that the insert will fill the pillow adequately. This will result in perhaps, a smaller measurement through the midsection, but not necessarily. I measure tip of corner to the other corner tip [not including trim] on the same side, and I measure all four sides to be as accurate as possible. <o:p></o:p>

Color<o:p></o:p>

All color monitors are not equal. Nor will a printer reflect a color accurately if you are low on ink, and I am sure for other reasons as well. SO if you have ANY concern the pillows will not or might not work, PLEASE request a SAMPLE. This process doesn’t take long, and helps to avoid any disappointment. I have an extremely high work ethic and strive to please my buyers with the best possible product and customer service. <o:p></o:p>

I do not accept returns simply because the color selected is wrong – I offer, via a swatch, the opportunity to find out prior to purchase whether the color will or will not work for you.

These are incredible pillows, many worthy of being a collectible, and all certain to bring pride of ownership. Some have even been called “works of art” which is lovely to hear. But never fear, they are meant to be used and enjoyed!

General Information

Textiles have borne witness to the civilizations that originated them by acting as a vehicle for a wealth of social, aesthetic and technical information. This relatively recent realization has given rise to numerous exhibitions and sales. While those sales are not always possible to participate in, there is still the opportunity to own a bit of history through the purchase of one, or many, of my pillows. They are made to last, to give joy in the present, and, at the very least, to enhance your environment.

Each pillow I create is done with meticulous workmanship and attention to detail. I search far & wide [and very carefully] to find beautiful, high-end, to-the-trade fabrics, with the exquisite quality and styling as only exclusive design houses can do. The pillows are created and constructed with upholstery grade fabric, which is designed to last. The trims are selected to enhance the pillow, sometimes like icing on a cake, others more simply, to allow the fabric to speak for itself. Some of the pillows are designed from lighter or medium weight fabrics, that are as suitable for pillows, as for draperies, of equally exquisite quality. Each Pillow is made from new, unused stock, whether new this year, or from a vintage piece. While I am not always able to identify the specific design house, the fabrics used do come from high-end houses, and I buy only from respected & vetted sellers. And, honestly? I am enchanted by each fabric I purchase and, when you own one [or many] of the pillows, I know you will be as pleased with it as I! ---I feel blessed to be able to turn beautiful fabric/s into something even more gorgeous than the piece was on its own.

Most of the pillows/cushions have a down filled, or a blend down filling/insert. Lighter weight fabrics have an additional lining for extra strength. Some of the pillows are filled with the highest quality alternative to down on the market. [Generally, this means for pillows that do not fit into normal pillow insert dimensions, - for example a 20' elongated oval that is 7" wide at the center].

Care

Please note that ALL fabrics I use are stain and soil resistant; spot clean when necessary. As with any fabric, the sooner you take care of a problem the better the outcome. The pillow/s should provide years of enjoyment. If more extensive cleaning is required, please take it to a reputable dry cleaner. If you have any questions, please contact me. I will provide a fabric sample should you like to see how it will fit in with your decor.

Shipping

Actual shipping costs will be charged [which may be different from the calculated charges shown with your invoice]. There will be no extra charges for packing, handling, or shipping materials. In the event that you pay the invoice and shipping is less, it will be refunded to you as soon as possible. Insurance is optional, but recommended. I usually ship within a day or two after receipt of payment. In the event you are purchasing more than one listing, please contact me and I will combine shipping charges. Also, note that 9% sales tax will be charged to Washington state customers.
