Art Nouveau jeweled vanity elegance in this antique jewelry box from Apollo Studios in New York early 1900s.

The hinged lid has an intricate floral design on the metal and several raised filigree curlicue medallions adorned with colored glass jewels that are faceted, bezel set and in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors, being oval, round and triangular and shaded amethyst, pink, lime green and pale aqua blue. The repousse floral design continues on the sides of the oval trinket box, which stands on four balled feet. The inside is lined with a light brown/beige velvet.

The base is engraved APOLLO 3131, and measures 5.75 long x 4.5 wide x 1.75 inches tall. The ormolu on the inside of the lid is worn, as is the velvet lining, and there is some tarnish to the metal, which shows as the darker areas around the medallions. All the original stones are intact and bright and the ornate metalwork is undamaged. Overall really good condition
