Bee-eater Details:

Distribution: Fairly common in south Europe. Breeds north Europe, north Africa, S.W. Asia eastwards to W . Siberia then migrates south to whole of Africa, Arabia, N.W. Indian sub-continent. Some birds breed S. Africa then migrate north. Found on most types of open country. Gregarious in small parties, nesting colonies. Catches insects in flight, also bees, wasps, dragonflies. beetles and flies.

Length: Body 11" (entral tail feathers 5") (28 cm., tail 12.7 cms.)

Gestation: Five or six eggs laid in tunnel in a sandy bank, incubated by both parents for 20 days, both feed young who fledge 20-25 days.

The paper is a heavy, 148 gsm (Approximately 100 lb) heavily embossed stock, of the highest imported quality. Size: Print image size, 12.25 inches by 11 inches (31 cms by 28 cms).
