Eric and Walter Gort migrated to the USA from Hungary and started their China Company in 1944 in Metuchen, New Jersey. Eric was an Artist and Sculpter. Walter was a ceramic engineer. Together they produced some of the highest quality bone china figurines made in America. they were only open for 10 years from 1944-1955.

This vintage serene madonna with hands together upward in prayer and a halo surrounding her head is in very good condition. The pale blue and white glaze is in good condition with only slight crazing at the base.
