Happy Birthday to you or someone you love!!! Make the birthday boy or girl's day extra special by having a plate reserved especially for them and that first slice of cake on their special day.

This plate was purchased brand new in the 1980's. This does not have the presentation box to go with it.

The plate is creamy white with a plain rim and a band of running rabbits, and a band of flowers. The center is decorated with a multicolor print of the Bunnykins rabbit family sitting at a table with a birthday cake with lit candles and all the neccessities for a birthday party. Surrounding this scene is the lettering Happy Birthday from Bunnykins.

The plate is marked with the Royal Doulton Lion and Crown with three little Bunnykins holding them up. The back also states the plate is English Fine Bone China; Copyright Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd 1936. The plate was designed by Walter Hayward and although the plate has a 1936 date on the back, this date refers to the series not the actual date it was made. It was manufactured in England between 1982 and 1989 and is becoming very hard to find since it was only produced for a limited time.

On the back there is also a poem and reads as follows:

Birthdays are lots and lots of fun,

With cards and gifts for everyone,

There are cakes and jellies and lots to eat,

Parties and games and your favorite treat.
