Cool old dresser with removable tilt lyre shape mirror.
I'm not sure of the age of this dresser but I got it about 10 years ago at an estate auction of a woman in Huntersville, NC who was in her 90's when she died.
It measures 3' wide x 1' 8.5" deep x 2' 6.5" tall to dresser top. From the floor to the highest point of the mirror is 5' 8.5" tall. The mirror is removable and measures 2'4" wide and 1' 10.5" at the tallest point.
There is one large drawer with a key hole on top and 2 small drawers and one cupboard below the large drawer.
Nice details include curved legs, carved details on the mirror top and base, total wood construction, wooden drawer handles and wheels.
All moving parts work.
This piece does have some cosmetic issues. The finish is very rough. It almost seems as though the varnish has cracked or not applied properly as all surfaces are rough. The wood veneer on top is not attached to the lower wood in places. It is intact but "bubbled". The veneer on the back of the piece is split and not attached in places. There are a couple small chips on the front under the top two drawers. The mirror is losing silver. Even with the cosmetic flaws this is a piece with a lot of charm and works just fine in my guest bedroom.
