Number 25 of 100 copies. Very Rare 1932 Thomas Perry Stricker, J. W. Robinson edition of Laurence Sterne's "A Fragment in the Manner of Rabelais" and "The Memoirs."
Lovely rare and important old book for the Stricker collector or the Sterne collector. Condition: Number 25 (could be 75 -see photo, I think it says 25). Ex Library. Typical library marks. Minor wear to cover, but has library tape and some corner bumping. Paper label/tag on front part of this edition and is present. ***The first blank page has been removed (I think it held an inscription, as there's a bit of writing on the remains of the page). One discolored spot in the crease there -see 3rd photo. Some moisture related damage along top edge towards the Memoirs area -a few age related spots and some yellowing along the top edges. The hand coloring and hand set type are beautiful. Please look at photos and email if you'd like more photos before purchasing. This book is very crisp but it does have some damage, as noted.
My home is a smoke free home. I have no idea what this book has been exposed to since 1932, but it has no offensive odors. Shipping price includes insurance for your investment. Item will be promptly shipped and carefully packaged. Please check Mendozam's for more beautiful vintage books.
