A sweet, napping blue-green bear resting on a bright yellow drum adorns this 1940s figural birthday card that reads "To a 2 year old." The bear sports a bright red scarf with yellow polka dots; his ears and paw pads are pink. The card's surface is flocked. Closed, the card measures 6" tall and 4" wide at the top edge of the drum.

Inside, the greeting aptly describes the illustration: "Two teddy bears bring my best wishes to you -- they march along proudly 'cause now you are TWO!"

The plain back of the card appears to have been either faded or darkened by sunlight. I can't determine what may have caused the unusual pattern. In the lower right corner is the number T-2482 beneath the logo of J. S. Pub. Corp., New York, USA, and the notation "Made in USA." Just above the logo is a shallow 1/2" crease that is also visible on the inside of the card.

Otherwise, this charming 1940s children's greeting card is crisp and clean, with bright colors and sharp edges. There are no ink or pencil marks.
