"You're the COOKIE I'd like to COOK for -- Valentine!

This large 1950s children's nodder Valentine card presents a pretty picture of old-fashioned domesticity. Seated before a huge red heart, a sweet blonde miss mixes a bowl of cookie dough for her beau. She wears a green dress with black polka dots, carefully protected from spills by a ruffled white apron, and sturdy brown shoes with yellow socks that rest comfortably on a green footstool.. Upon her tresses is a yellow dust cap decorated with a blue bow. A cameo brooch fastens a matching yellow scarf; granny glasses protect her blue eyes.

The card measures 8.5" high and up to 5.25" wide. Two parts are attached by a metal hinge on her face that allows her cap and ringlets to move ever so slightly. That's why it's called a "nodder."

This 1950s nodder Valentine card is protected by backing board and a plastic sleeve. Crisp card with vivid colors, back clean except for some minor smudges where the black lettering bleeds through. The card appears unused; there is no envelope. (I'll be glad to include a 9" x 12" white envelope at no extra charge -- just ask!)
