1946 (revised from 1943) Norton Abrasives Mounted Wheels and Points Catalog/Booklet
Another great little reference catalog from Norton Abrasives (now a St. Gobain company)...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This booklet is 5 inches x 7 inches, printed in black and white (interior) on coated paper, cover blue ink on blue paper, 34 pages including cover (30 pages of material).

Condition: Fantastic... really great condition. Interior is in beautiful shape.

Interior has several pages of cuts (illustrations) of the mounted grinding wheels and points, with dimensions and size charts/1946 prices.

Brief information about selection of materials and guide to grinding.

Utilitarian design presumably for wartime conservation of ink and paper, it is still beautifully produced. (they just don't print like this anymore. These booklets were hand-set type printed on old gorgeous letterpresses. That is LOTS of work.

Ships first class parcel to most US addresses for about $3.00. International shipping available, just ask.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a great reference booklet for those who own old handheld grinders and want to know best applications. Norton produced quite a few small booklets that were quite informative, and this is one of those.... And, by golly, it would also give visitors to the machine shop reason to stop and check this brochure out if it was prominently displayed in the official shop "reading room!" A neat little booklet from 1940's Norton Abrasives... of interest to collectors of machine ephemera, collectors of Norton equipment and grinding materials, and a nice historical item as well. How good can it get?
