Vlier #SC 334 3/8"-16 Socket Set Swivel-Pad Clamp.
Several of these clamps are available, buying multiples makes sense for material-holding purposes and also means you save on handling fees.

This item is 1-1/2" long and fits a hex key size 5/32". The pad is 1/4" in diameter and 3/16" high. These are listed in the McMaster-Carr Catalog as part number   92432A466, for those of you who would like to check out its value. The pad is permanently attached steel and has a smaller diameter than that of the thread which allows it to pass through internally threaded holes. Black-oxide steel, won't damage parts as pad stops rotating on contact and swivels 7.5 degrees in all direction  . Length as shown in photo is overall length including pad.
