     Harper's Weekly - A Journal of Civilization vividly described contemporary American Life with its weekly synopsis of news, history, fiction, science, commentary, cartoons, sports, and art.  It is also profusely illustrated by the finest artists of the day.

     In this complete October 4, 1890 issue, you will find several excellent illustrations and wood engravings. For instance, on the cover, you will find C Graham?s engraving of Pueblo Indian Farmers with companion story. There is a Pawtucket Rhode Island scene from Cotton exhibition by A J Clapp, a double paged engraving by W T Smedley entitled A Shower on Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, D.C., and a C Hassam?s painting entitled ?The Public Garden?

    The condition of this issue is very good overall. A few pages have a margin tear on the left side.
