This birdhouse is made to be attached to a tree trunk or mounted on a post. The bottom is attached with screws that can be removed for cleaning.
The finish is natural so it will change with the seasons to look old and rustic.
For decoration I have attaches 3 3&1/2 inch rusty stars, a rusty horse shoe, and a tree branch to represent a tree. I also wrapped the base of this house with old leather straps and also place them across the top.
I love this house- my husband help me with the cutting and putting it together. I did the finishing touches.
