This is a hard to find Limited Edition Framed and Signed Geese Print by P. Buckley Moss. It is copyright 1988 and is titled "Evening Eloquence". Patricia Moss was described in an interview by Charles Kuralt in 1988 as "The People's Artist". She was born in 1933 in New York City. She has received numerous awards and the P. Buckley Moss Museum has been open since 1989 and has over 45,000 visitors yearly.

This is a Limited Edition P. Buckley Moss Print of 1,000 and this is #261. It is considered a rare print and is no longer available from the Moss Portfolio. The print is of two geese in a snow covered field. One goose is facing forward the other looking to the side. I believe these are Canadian Geese. The geese are grey, black and white against a blue background.

Moss describes her work as "a realistic form of stylized impressions." She has always like painting geese and most of the geese are depicted without feet. This is for several reasons, usually they are standing in snow or water so the feet wouldn't show anyway, but the other reason is that the Devil was often pictured with webbed feet and she "didn't want that on her divine creatures".

The print is in a 14 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches silver edged frame. The grey mat opening is 9 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches. It is in excellent condition. I would probably re-mat it in a different frame, but that is just my taste.

What a great addition this would make to you P. Buckley Moss collection or for someone who loves the Winter Geese. It is just lovely.
