This elegant and refined lady doll was sculpted by Diane Marcoux. She is a gorgeous 3 dimensional cloth soft sculpted doll lavishly costumed with dimensional eyes and lips, a sculpted breast with cleavage, a black wig, a stunning detailed 5-layer red lace dress accented with red Valentine hearts all over it with a red bow at her waist. The eye-catching dress consists of two layers of sheer red lace overlay with ruffles on the bodice and the sleeves. Below the red lace is a cream satin dress trimmed ruffles made of the same red heart lace that makes up the top layers. Underneath the satin dress is a white lace slip also trimmed in a flowered white lace; below the white lace is another layer of white lace trimmed in the red heart ruffle lace, and finally she is wearing white lace bloomers or pantaloons with red bows on the front.

On her back is a label that reads "Hand Made by Diane Marcoux". The outfit is accessorized with a red and white necklace, a red and green lace bow in her hair and a pair of gold sandals on her feet. The dress is not removable. She has a beautifully colored face with hand painted eyes that are a lovely shade of turquoise blue and she has sparkly eye shadow in iridescent shades of green and silver above her eyes. She has black eyebrows and red lips. When laid out she measures approximately 26 inches long. I took a picture of her sitting atop my printer so you can better judge her size. She does not stand on her own.

She is in excellent condition, but there are a couple of issues with her dress. The cream satin under dress (below the red lace) has some yellowing stains on the front and the back. I have pointed them out in the pictures. You don't see them unless you lift up the red lace. There is also a small hole on the 2nd layer of the red lace in the front below her waist.

This doll would be the perfect Valentine's Day gift for the favorite girl or woman in your life. She would also be perfect to add to your collection of Art Dolls. There are two actresses that she brings to mind when I look at her; one is a young Elizabeth Taylor and the other is Dixie Carter when she played Julia Sugarbaker on the TV show, Designing Women. Please remember that she is designed as a Collector's Doll, not a child's toy. She is truly a unique piece of art.
