NASA Patches Astronaut U.S Space Program Logo Patch Set

This patch set contains all three NASA insignias in different size formats, and the fourth patch is the left star field American flag.

This patch set is made by the only U.S NASA contract holder and is official by NASA.

NASA ORIGINAL MEATBALL ASTRONAUT CREW PATCH 3" Navy blue circle design similar to the Vector Logo but without the extended red chevrons. It measures approximately 2.75 inches (7 cm) in diameter.

The NASA "meatball" logo is the original official NASA logo, created in 1959 when the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) metamorphosed into an agency that would advance both space and aeronautics: the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The sphere represents a planet, the stars represent space, the red chevron is a wing representing aeronautics (the latest design in hypersonic wings at the time the logo was developed), and then there is an orbiting spacecraft going around the wing. Official NASA Vector Logo Astronaut Space Crew Patch 3" This emblem is NASA's second official insignia. It is now also the official, having replaced the NASA worm design. It is nearly identical to the NASA Original that was used during all the Mercury flights, but as early as the Gemini 3 mission a slight design change was made. The red winged vector was extended beyond the circular border of the NASA Original and the size was increased from 2.5 inches in diameter to three inches. The emblem is known as the NASA "Vector".
