The Mark on the Back of the Platter Says, "Meito China~(Crown Mark)~Hand Painted~ Made in Japan" It is White China... with a Pretty Yellow Band on the Rim... with Blue, Black and Orange Medallions and Flowers painted on the Yellow Band. The Rim is detailed in Gold!!! See the Pictures, as they describe this Elegant Platter far better than I can with words!!!
It measures approximately 16 1/4" Long x 12" Wide. This Piece is in Good Vintage Condition...No Chips... No Cracks... No Crazing. There is some wear on the gold trim... Nothing to detract from the Beauty of the Piece. A Wonderful Addition to ANY Collection!!! Unless stated otherwise, all items purchased with a contiguous five-day period are eligible for combined shipping. Discounts vary depending on the difficulty in packaging and per-box weight and size limitations for various types of shipping. The more items you buy, the more you save with combined shipping.
Insurance and Delivery Confirmation
Although Shipping insurance is optional on most items... we strongly recommend it. We reserve the right to make shipping insurance mandatory on fragile items. Those items are noted in their descriptions. We take great pains to pack our items very carefully, however... we can not control what happens to a package when it is placed into the hands of the USPS
NOTE: The costs for insurance and delivery confirmation are exactly what USPS charges us and not a penny more. Such services are inexpensive and readily available for all types of shipping to USA destinations. However, such services may be expensive or unavailable for some international destinations.
Shipping to USA Buyers
Flat rate shipping is typically as follows: Most packages are shipped Parcel Post, Small packages less than 13 oz. Are shipped First Class Mail, and books, CDs, DVDs, etc by Media Mail. If you have special shipping needs, just let us know. Expedited shipping is available upon request but costs extra (please contact us - we check email often).
International Buyers
International buyers who are not listed in the countries we ship to must contact us before bidding or buying from us. If approved to buy from us, you are responsible for paying any duties, taxes, VAT, GST, and applicable customs brokerage fees separate from the merchandise cost (if your country charges for such). We are honest people and will NOT submit fraudulent shipping forms to save on import costs. All international shipping is via airmail.
