Close up pictures show the main beads and separators and the very skilful carving as well as the beautiful shape of the beads, which, with the main bead carving are of typical old ottoman carving.I am honored to have known these masters who work with such an art and patience and unfortunely the last of a kind.

This is one of such items, which is made of rare wood essences, taken from the most perfect part of the tree ( or seed) a true rarity as practically impossible to be found anymore - to the same extend that the old Ottoman hand made tesbihs in such a beautiful style are rare today.

Wood Essence :  EXTREMELY RARE Fragrant Aloe Tree -Aquilaria agallocha - called also Paradise wood - The Famous OUD in Arabic.
Tassel : Of same beads - very rare and elegant. Very special "SUFI CARVING "as may be seen from close up. The main bead and end bead having the shape of the Turban that Sufi Cheikhs and Turning dervishes usually wear.
General : 33 Beads of " elongated oval  " shape - typical Ottoman called BEYZI shape
Unusally large beads for such a wood : 13x8.5 mm
Total weight 17 grams - Total Length 40 cm wih tassel and 30 cm without .

This particular wood has a natural perfume of light insence which comes out as soon as handled. It is a light but beautiful smell which will enchant the user and will enhance and relax spiritual concentration. This is a UNIQUE item

Eaglewood, Paradise wood or aloe - Oud in Arabaic-  is referred to in the Old Testament and is native to tropical Asia. Agallochum is the heartwood of the tree. The tree's form is big and spreading with a dark-colored substance in its center trunk that is very fragrant. Younger branches are white without scent. Found in northern India, the tree grows as tall one hundred twenty feet. This lign has an ancient history and was noted by Herodotus for producing a substance of great value. In the East its beautifully grained wood was desired above all others. It could be finished with polish and this added to its beauty. Precious stones were set in the softer inner wood. In the ancient world aloe wood was worth its weight in gold. Once a popular belief was that this was the only tree descended to mankind from the garden of Eden. The legend says that Adam carried one of its shoots from the garden, transplanted it where he settled and every aloe tree has come from this shoot. Shoot of Paradise or Paradise Wood are other names given this tree

These tesbihs made of rare wood essence are considered to be the "purest" of all as the material of which they are made is simple, beautiful and natural and with noble intrinsic beauty given to it by the Creator. Such items are extremely hard to find in such perfect condition today and will become high value rarities in the very near future.
