These magazines are great for military buffs, history buffs, historians, historical reenactors, and students of all ages. They were published by Harry Roach out of Whitehall, PA. In general, issues feature tons of period photographs, accompanied by interesting and informative articles and stories relating to the photographs. There are also accounts and analysis of different battles as experienced by generals and foot soldiers alike. Articles also discuss how the war in general, and the battles and their aftermaths, effected towns, regions and civilians. Please refer to each issue separately to find the specific articles or general topic areas that you are interested in. Each issue features civil war themed artwork on the cover and a period photograph on the back. General information on these magazines: These magazines are generally in good condition. I obtained all of these from a recent civil war related auction. It appears that the person who had them was a historian or major collector of some type. These magazines were obviously part of this person’s research archive. As such, they were kept bound in binder format and there are few tears or ragged edges on the pages, additionally, the covers are in pretty good shape. The bindings themselves are very tight; especially when one considers that some of these issues are 25+ years old. I will try to note any damage if I see it. The aforementioned description covers all of the issues I have for sale. Some are in a little better condition and some are in a little worse condition. All are in good condition for their age. (Note that the mailing label is on the back cover and there is a small crimp in the back cover.) Each magazine is 8.5” X 11” Please email me with any questions before you purchase.
