Printed on standard card stock, with a character on the front and character stats on the back, this card also has gold foil highlights and looks great! This card is in gorgeous condition, and graded a Gem Mint 10.
On this card: White Queen by Dave Dorman.
Why buy a card that has been graded? Well, for me personally, I love the way they look. I have all the cards in my personal collection graded and on my office wall in a display. The cards are safe from damage after being "slabbed" (placed in the plastic encasing) and the card set, card number, year of release, Certification Number and other pertinent info is displayed on the paper insert (or "flip") also inside the slab. When PSA puts your card into one of their slabs they have garaunteed it is real/authentic, and in the condition (based on their scale of 1 - 10) they state it is. How many times have you bought a card online that was being sold as "mint" only to find out that it's more your idea of "near mint" (or worse!) With PSA's consistent 10 point grading scale you know what you're getting. Each card is also given a Certification Number when it is encapsulated that you can type into the PSA website (www.psacard.com) to confirm that card is legitimate. Grading was initially limited to expensive sports cards, but is now catching on with serious non-sports collectors as well!
