From the box: "Johnny Voodoo was discovered sleeping in a stump by three migrant workers in the summer of 1965. They fled in horror after one look at the startled creature's waking eyes. Tragically, the three lived out their remaining days urinating from the elbows.

Johnny's strange powers soon became known to the world when he made his debut on the Ed Sullivan show in the Fall of 1966. At only a foot tall, he mesmerized the home audience with his hypnitic stare. Housewives began acting like lawnmowers. Tough guys were spied wearing hula skirts in the street and singing to imaginary omelettes. None of the viewers was spared these indignities, but they loved it! Johnny Voodoo was an instant star.

Gobler Toys quickly signed with Johnny to produce dolls in his likeness. They were THE holiday hit of 1967 and are still highly cherished by collectors today.
