Another great vintage find.
These are signed "KT F " on the tip of one clip and further up on the other one. KTF stands for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel and was first introduced in 1935. Gustavo Trifari & Leo Krussman went into business in 1918. Carl Fishel joined Trifari & Krussman and they incorporated in 1925.
Their preeminent designer at the time was Alfred Philippe who joined
as a designer in 1930 and retired in 1968. I have researched the patents
for Trifari and have been unable to find an exact match but have found
ones that are very close. Click here to view patents:www.jewelrypatents.com/trifari1.html
Each piece has the #41 incised near the hinge of the clip (not able to photograph). My research indicates that this number represents the stone setter.
Each measures approximately 2" long. This pair of clips are rhodium plated on base metal in a chevron shaped and set with clear, brilliant baguette rhinestones.
I have done nothing to clean this or any repairs to it.
This is, however a vintage piece and does show wear consistent
with age and use and there is some pitting on the back of the clips.
I have taken pictures in various lighting
situations in order to show how beautiful these are. Please feel free to email for additional pics.
Please review all pictures provided and ask any questions prior to bidding.
Shipping to Canada & US will be $9.00 US.
