A late Victorian ring ca. 1880 of 14K yellow gold featuring a classical Greek profile. The hand carved stone appears to be carnelian. The cameo has a bezel mounting with narrow rows of twisted ribbon metal work outlining the shank and open work at the shoulders all typical of the period.

The cameo is 5/8" x 1/2". The shank has an inside measurement of 5/8". There is a small nick in the carving at the base of her neck. The nose which is usually chipped on an old cameo, is in good condition. The shank is typically out of round, but, can be rounded or sized. It is marked 14k inside the shank.
