LOT of 15 movies (10 VHS, 5 new DVD) for young & old.

To make room for new inventory, we’re packing up our movies and auctioning them off as one lot. Don’t miss this chance to get a great deal on a wide variety of genres of movies! Some are VHS and some are DVD. There’s something for everyone … kids, old-timers, etc. Here’s what the highest bidder will win:

VHS:

Star Wars Episode I Phantom Menace VHS Collector's Edition + book --  this special Widescreen Collector’s Edition comes in its own special box featuring a stunning drawing of that city, original theatrical letterbox format. Original release price was $39.98. This boxed set also includes:

* Special behind the scenes documentary created EXCLUSIVELY for this release!
* 35 mm Film Strip consisting of 5 consecutive frames from an actual theatrical print, specially mounted for two-sided viewing on a collectible card.
* 48-page Collector’s Book excerpted from “The Art of Episode I", filled with conceptual paintings, storyboard drawings, and developmental artwork exploring the creative impulse behind the film’s astonishing designs.

Digitally mastered for superior sound and picture quality. Rated PG, 133 minutes run time. (The front cover has minimal wear on corners.)

As with all the Star Wars movies, The Phantom Menace features inexplicable plot twists, a fistful of loose threads, and some cheek-chewing dialogue. The special effects are stupendous; three worlds are populated with a mlange of creatures, flora, and horizons rendered in absolute detail. The action and battle scenes are breathtaking in their complexity. And one particular sequence of the film--the adrenaline-infused pod race through the Tatooine desert--makes the chariot race in Ben-Hur look like a Sunday stroll through the park.

Among the host of new characters, there are a few familiar walk-ons. We witness the first meeting between R2-D2 and C-3PO, Jabba the Hutt looks younger and slimmer (but not young and slim), and Yoda is as crabby as ever. Natalie Portman's stately Queen Amidala sports hairdos that make Princess Leia look dowdy and wields a mean laser. We never bond with Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson), and Obi-Wan's day is yet to come. Jar Jar Binks, a cross between a Muppet, a frog, and a hippie, provides many of the movie's lighter moments, while Sith Lord Darth Maul is a formidable force. Baby-faced Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd) looks too young and innocent to command the powers of the Force or wield a lightsaber (much less transmute into the future Darth Vader), but his boyish exuberance wins over skeptics.

Near the end of the movie, Palpatine, the new leader of the Republic, may be speaking for fans eagerly awaiting Episode II when he pats young Anakin on the head and says, "We will watch your career with great interest."

Heartbeeps -- a delightful kid’s movie starring Andy Kaufman and Bernadette Peters, with a cameo appearance by Randy Quaid. The amusing tale of a love affair between two robots. Set sometime in Earth's future, the world is pretty much the same except for the trillions of specially built androids helping mankind fight crime and serve drinks. Kaufman stars as Valcom-17485, a valet service robot with a specialization in lumber commodities, and Peters stars as Aquacom-89045, a hostess-companion robot designed to assist at pool-side parties. After falling in love, they decide to escape from their servitude and attempt to start a family of their own. You’ll see them "grow up" through their wild, teenage years, have a child, and face crisis together. The lesson: sometimes it takes a couple of robots to tell such an utterly heartwarming, human story. The movie is light-hearted, funny and insightful. 54th Annual Academy Award Nomination for Best Make-Up (1982). VHS video, 78 minutes, rated PG, 1981, Universal Studios. Original box is in great condition, but there is a flaw over a small area of the UPC code on the back cover – nothing major, though.

Ren & Stimpy On Duty VHS -- 4 episodes:
In the Army (2) -- Looking for something to do, Ren and Stimpy join the US Army and are ordered to report to a sarge who shouts orders that Stimpy can only understand while Ren tries his hardest to slack off.
Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen -- Ren & Stimpy voulenteer to go on a dangerous mission as Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen. By the way, The Kilted Yaksmen Anthem has been made available was included on the soundtrack album, "Ren & Stimpy: You Eediot!", released in late 1993. The song, along with "Happy Happy Joy Joy" and "Ren's Pecs", was also included on the "Best of Nicktoons" album released in early 1998.
SPECIAL Fire Dogs Music Video -- featuring clips from various episodes in the first two seasons which has been featured on MTV and Nicktoons TV.

The Ren & Stimpy show revolves around the lives of an angry, insane chihuahua named Ren Hek and his brain-dead "eediot" sidekick cat, Stimpy. Together the duo have lots of bizarre and outrageous adventures. Created by John Kricfalusi (who incidentally does the voice of Ren), the characters started out as separate doodles and had no relation to each other. Kricfalusi would do these funny little drawings to amuse his co-workers. Soon he was doing a creepy Peter Lorre voice and acting out insane scenes with the chihuahua character. And behold, Ren & Stimpy were born. With their captivating pathos, intuitive comedic timing and complete lack of shame, Ren Hok and Stimpson J. Cat have ascended to the pantheon of animation immortals.

Wayne's World VHS -- Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and his nerdy pal Garth (Dana Carvey) are teens who live at home and have their own low-rent cable-access show in Aurora, Illinios, in which they celebrate their favorite female movie stars and heavy-metal bands. When a Chicago TV station smells a potential youth audience ratings hit, the station's weasely executive (Rob Lowe) tries to coopt the show -- and steal Wayne's new rock & roll girlfriend (Tia Carrere) at the same time. Wayne's World was the most popular Saturday Night Live skit for a good two to three years running. There are plenty of famous people in small roles like Chris Farley, Laura Flynn Boyle, Alice Cooper, Meatloaf, and Ed O'neil to name a few. Aside from all the Wayne-isms and Garth-isms, this movie changed forever the way we listen to a number of classic rock songs. – 95 minutes, 1992, rated PG-13. The video case has wear, but videotape is in great shape.

Enjoy nearly FOUR HOURS of this great show! What a great gift for someone who can appreciate this entertaining blast from the past.

Widower Sheriff Andy and his son Opie live with Andy's Aunt Bee in Mayberry NC. With virtually no crimes to solve, most of Andy's time is spent philosophizing and calming down his cousin Deputy Barney. The show aired on CBS from October 3rd, 1960 to April 1st, 1968. It finished its first season at #4 in the United States. The Andy Griffith Show originated from an episode of The Danny Thomas Show in February 1960. In that show, Danny was arrested by the sheriff for running a stop sign at a spot where a crossroad had yet to be built while driving through Mayberry. Andy Griffith was already a well-known entertainer, and received a large hand from the studio audience upon entering the scene. The whistled theme song, "The Fishin' Hole", was composed by Earle Hagen (the show's music coordinator as well as the whistler) and Herbert Spencer. There is no real town of Mayberry, but despite Griffith's denial, it is widely believed that it was based upon his real hometown of Mount Airy, North Carolina.

Faced with a serious dilemma, Gerard has to decide whether or not to ride off and rouse the troops against his own potential father-in-law.
