This is an old OIL filler can that was used to put oil or other fluids in cars before the "punch spouts" on cans and before the plastic containers with necks on them. This one looks like it might be for water or ante-freeze.

It has a spout on the front for inserting into the small oil reserve pipe in the car.

I do not have the exact date on it but guessing it is 1930's to 1950's . Please see picture. We try to describe our items in detail to the best of our knowledge. There may be something that we have missed. Please feel free to ask questions before buying.
