Up for your consideration is a wonderful , divine vintage hat most likely from the 1930's- WWII era. Massive ostrich feather pompom tilts out on the front side to make a dramatic statement. This massive pompom measures app. 8" across & 5" in depth and is accented with large wool cross bow at it base on the top side of hat. Comb sewn in front stabilizes hat to head. This glamorous chapeau was styled to sit on top of head toward brow. The brim consist of 2 folds. Vintage faux pearl hatpin included. The black netted hair snood was typically worn with this style hat, but it is not included in this sale.

The black diamond netted veil is brow length & has a broken area as you can see in the pic. This can easily be darned. The netting is unusually sturdy for it's age otherwise. The comb has a broken tooth. Overall this vintage delight is in very good condition without holes, nibbles or stains. Truly a unique, rare find that has been well stored & treasured for over 50++years!
