Antique English Canary Yellow Glazed Creamware Bird Whistle.
The bird with a molded beak and wings standing on a cone shape base with moled legs and feet. The tail formed as a tapering stem with a flat pierced front and a tapering mouthpiece at the end. Also pierced under the beak. Glazed overall with a rich canary yellow glaze.
In good condition with a in the making shrinkage crack running down the front of the body. A shallow chip on the base and several glazing flaws on the body.
English, late 18th century. Measures 3 1/8" high, 3" wide, 1 1/2" deep approx.
