Wonderful pair of silver and red copper patinated Arts and Crafts candlesticks. Each with a sterling silver urn shaped socket over a slender round stem and flared cone shape circular base with a deep copper / red patina. The bases loaded and with a natural oxidized copper base plate. Each marked on the underside with the La Pierre Mfg. Co. conjoined L & F mark (which actually looks like a British pound mark. La Pierre was located in Newark, New Jersey during this time ) and Silver and Copper. One stick marked on the center of base and somewhat over struck. The other clearly marked near the edge of the underside. Each also retains an oval paper label which I believe says: 10 / 1480 and the original price of 8.00. Very nice east coast interruption of the classic Jarvie Chicago arts and crafts candlestick design. Each in very good condition. Most of the spots that appear in the photographs are from wax which I have not attempted to remove or polish. La Pierre, Newark, New Jersey. Early 20th century. Each measures 14" high, 4 3/8" diameter at base.
