Set of 6 English Sterling Silver Salt Spoons by George William Adams, London 1873.
The salts with a beaded rim over a bombe body and raised on three arched feet. The spoons with a beaded border and a small bowl.
The salts hallmarked with Lion Passant and Lepoards head, R H in a double circle and t in shield and duty mark of a head facing left.
The spoons hallmarked with GA in double circle Lions Passand, Lepoards head, date letter s and duty mark of a head facing left.
The whole contained in a custom fitted gilt leather lift top box with blue velvet lining. The interior of the lid with a Royal Crest and Connell / 23 Cheapside, EC/ Succesor to / R. Brook & Son / 1 & 2 Poultry.
Silver weighs 10.39 ounces Troy.
In very good condition with minor wear from use over the years. The box with a non working clasp, some wear and tear.
Each salt measures 1 1/4" high, 2 3/4" diameter approx. Each spoon measures 3" long approx.
