The workmanship and attention to detail on this set are amazing. The pictures in no way do it justice. The chains of both the necklace and bracelet feature an intricate floral design. There are three marcasite-embellished central half-domes with a stylized flower in the center. There are 4 ribs emanating from the flower to the edges of the domes. Interspersed between the domes and at each end of the centered grouping are four smaller bud-like, horizontally-oriented marcasite "beads". The flower and bud motifs make a stunning combination. The ultimate effect is simply gorgeous. Equally beautiful are the links of the chain which remind us of elongated fleur-de-lys shapes. The necklace was undoubtedly designed and executed by a singularly accomplished designer. The domes are marked "STERLING", as is the clasp. The clasp also is marked "GERMANY". The necklace measures approx 15 1/4" long with the pendant area approximately 5 1/2" wide. The half-domes have a 5/8" diameter. The necklace is in excellent condition. It is an exceptional example of period Art Deco marcasite with remarkable detail! Altogether, it is a magnificent, impressive, and important piece of period German silver jewelry.
