This is an absolutely fabulous evening bag. It's a real mixed bag in terms of style. We think the angularity of the design relates to Art Deco, the intricacy of design to Art Nouveau, and the drawstring style harkens back to Victorian days. The craftsmanship is definitely Old World, where Czechoslovakia was known for its glass and craftsmanship. The glass beads give off a beautiful, warm luster. The beads are both round, opaque seed-style beads and long glassy bugle beads.The variety of beads gives added texture and interest to the design. The bag is in very good condition. The drawstring still works to gather in the bag. There are some missing beads and loose hanging threads but it could definitely be repaired. If you choose not to use it, framed in a shadow box it would make a fabulous display. In either case, it is a real treasure, one to be thoroughly enjoyed for years to come.
