This is a large piece with a lot of heft. The metal is a velvety finished gold- plated. The center cream colored section is a resin. It is both opaque and semi translucent and almost appears to glow from within. The shape of the brooch looks like a pretzel to me. It is very structural and because it bears the hallmark of high- end designer Givenchy you know it is smashing!
