#1836 Take a look at the Pepsi can pictured sitting next to this Old Seltzer bottle to give you an idea of size. These truly OLD Seltzer bottles are getting SUPER collectible! PLEASE NOTE: This IS a ROMANIAN Seltzer bottle. But I really THINK the label on it was added later OR is a reproduction label. I STARTED to take it off but I'm not 100% & it DOES look really cool on the piece so I'll leave it for you to decide.
The bottle is OLD.....the glass is THICK....and it has MANY bubbles as indicative of age.....and the glass BASE is ONE INCH THICK!. As is the case in ALL of these old seltzer bottles...the top is FROZEN and it will NOT unscrew. I'm not sure I'd try to force it either because you'd really risk breaking it. There's a very thin layer of old seltzer water still remaining in the bottom. I went through a whole crate of these and picked out the four that had the MOST character but the LEAST liquid still in them. The others will be listed seperately here in the store. This one still has its original glass tube sticking down inside of it.
The top siphon is MARKED but I can barely make out some of the letters. Looks like "Prodcoop SIBU". The thick glass on the bottle itself is marked at the bottom AND on the base. The bottom glass is embossed "APA GAZOASA STAS 392 52". APA GAZOASA translates to "Mineral fuzzy water". STAS translates to "standard". I've also included a picture of the base STAS 32c952 has some sort of logo that I can barely make out. A GREAT old piece that displays Beautifully!
Measures 12 1/4" TALL, 3 3/4" WIDE & THIRTEEN Inches AROUND!!
