A wonderful Porcelain Bisque Nodder Lady.

She does not have a maker mark on her. She looks like a lot of the German Bisque I have seen but she could have been made in England or some where else..

The head nodds easily on the metal pin through her neck.

She is approx 7" tall and in good condition with some very light age wear.

The information that I have read on these types of nodders date them to some time in the 19th century.

I read that these were used to tell if an earthquake was coming but that might just be an ol wives tale......
