Rare vintage Asian Indonesian Wedding Ceremonial Traditional Coolie Sun Hat that we collected on the premises in East Sumatra, used by well-to-do and aristocratic families during festive celebrations, occasions and weddings. We are showing detailed pictures of this lovely (entirely beaded by hand with a needle) hat adorned with a tapestry of minute glass beads enhancing the outside with a beautiful kaleidoscope pattern, and tightly woven on the inside. Size is 15 1/2" diameter by 10 1/2" from rim to top of conic point. I have seen a few for $900.00 and up, and the bead panels alone can sell for 800.00 and up on the internet. Super value, compare!
Traditional sacred motifs. Additional adornments of small nassa shell borders, and beaded fringes all around the rim complete this marvelous and unusual collectable that took up to 6 months to create.
Our prices are very low as we sell mostly wholesale and we go straight to the source to find these treasures, so you are getting the advantage of that saving as well as the advantage of the wholesale price without having to purchase multiples for a little while longer while we are making room.
