This wonderful bag was purchased by me about 2 years ago from a highly trustworthy seller in the US. She was the original owner and bought this limited edition bag in 2001 from the Chanel boutique in Bal Harbour/Florida. Since it arrived with me in the UK, I must confess that it has had very little use. I prefer the more structured shape of the classic flaps and have seldom taken this bag out of its dustbag. Because of the very soft leather of this bag, it tends to lose its shape if over-filled and so would ideally suit a new owner who prefers to carry the basics around. It would also be perfect to use as an evening bag and looks stunning with its beautiful gold chain.

It is in very good condition with no scuffs, scratches or tears in the lambskin and it has been well cared for. However, the leather in 2001 was very thick and where the flaps folds over, there is some slight fading of the glaze on one side. The interwoven black leather and gold chain and the mademoiselle lock are in excellent condition apart from the normal mark on the clasp, where the device turns to close the bag. This is a rare bag from 2001, offered at a very fair price.

The bag is unusual in that it opens up fully to allow easy access from the top of the flap. There is one deep zipped compartment within the bag and 2 further compartments both front and back. This bag is the jumbo size i.e. 12 inches wide, 8 inches high and 2.5 inches deep. The chain length, if worn doubled, has a height of 12 inches which makes it very comfortable to wear on the shoulder. The inside is in excellent condition with no scratches or tears and apart from the inner compartment is fully lined in black lambskin. There is no odour at all within the bag. The bag will be sent to its new owner with its dustbag and authenticity card. There is no original Chanel box, I'm afraid.

I would strongly recommend that you have this bag authenticated on the Purse Forum before purchase. I have been an active member since 2006.
