COMMENTS: "8th Octbr 1870 Dear Sir: I take the liberty to remind you that  on the occasion of your visit to the Agricultural College in August last, you promised (with the hearty concurrence of D. Loring) to send me a Diploma and a Certificate of Membership in the (new?y) Society  in lieu of the premium of thirty dollars ($30) which was awarded me in 1868. The premium I allude to was "For the best (?pay) on the improvement of Pastures" The high value I attach to these testimonials must be my excuse for my continued importunity-  (????) Your obedient servant. John C. Dillon" There is also a small notation to the lower left corner.
CONDITION: T Light wear. Creasing from being folded  SEE PHOTOS
