"The Asian Congress of Paediatrics is held every 4-years under the auspices of the Association of Pediatric Societies of the Southeast Asian Region (APSSEAR) and the International Pediatric Association (IPA) in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). "- The 9th Congress was held in 1997, which would make the first Congress in 1965.
