Four Ash Trays in Box

This is a set of four small round ashtrays in a round box. Box and ashtrays are marked Made in Japan on the bottom. They appear to be made of paper mache, painted and lacquered or varnished. The ashtrays are used and have some damage to the inner surfaces. There is some scuffing and wear to the box lid also. See pictures for more info.

Age unknown but we suspect these are 50's or 60's pieces. Thanks for looking!
