Hello, here we have a vintage 40's, 42 piece set of Holgate wooden blocks, with their original sack. These blocks assemble to make a pull toy train. Included are 42 pieces, in various colors and sizes. This set does not seem to be complete, may have originally came with an engine, and other train cars, which are missing. One piece has it's original stamp reading; Holgate Toys, with Trees in the logo. These blocks were found in their original draw string, cotton sack reading; Holgate Blocks, Holgate Toys, Made in U.S.A., Holgate Brothers Company, Kane Pa., Established In 1789, "Old as the Nation". Blocks show areas of surface wear and discoloring, One train car is detached from it's base. Sack is worn and discolored, with a tear at the side seam, also a few small holes. Questions are welcome, thanks for looking...
