Peter Poodle Toy Maker King Will Bradley 1906 1st RARE Peter Poodle, Toy Maker to the King - Will Bradley New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1906. Hardcover book with original cloth-backed pictorial paper boards designed by Bradley and, map endpapers. First Edition. 4to. Illustrated throughout by Bradley. 166 pp. Condition is Good+ with wear on edges, front and rear hinges split, small area of "pasture" on endpaper map colored in green. Board edges show wear as usual. Will H. Bradley (1868-1962) master of American Art Nouveau, illustrator, designer, printer, typographer and art director. Will Bradley was born in Boston in 1868. He started work at the age of 12 on a Michigan newspaper and illustrated his first book, Frinilla, in 1895. At this time he established his own Wayside Press Company in Springfield, Massachusetts, and published his own books such as Peter Poodle: Toy Maker to the King (1906).
