The Whitman Publishing Co. , Racine, WI produced this "Popeye and His Jungle Pet" in 1937. The 72-page book is complete and measures 9-1/2" by 7". The plot features Popeye's adventures with the strange fourth dimensional character, Eugene the Jeep. The book has a strong spine with no loose pages. It is in very good+ condition. It appears to be unread. Page edges are brown due to poor quality of paper used. Very tiny tear in front cover edge which I have photographed. Copyright reads "King Features Syndicate, Inc. New York, N.Y., Great Britain Rights Reserved". There is the number 712 on the lower left of the cover. Condition is really amazing for this type of oversized paperback!! |
