Vintage Old Pawn -Native American- Indian-Navajo

Very large man's sterling silver ring set with a long green turquoise nugget.

Size 12 1/2.

1-3/4" long by 1" wide. The nugget is 3/8" high.

Marked JC, which is deeply gouged into the back. It's probably the owners name.

The shank portion is very heavy, 14 gauge sheet which was forked and then another layer of 22 gauge was added over it on the upper half.

One side of the shank has been filed off to achieve a perfect fit at the finger joint of the hand.

The green turquoise, which looks like Damele, has two cracks in the matrix running across it.

The stone is very secure with no movement at all in it's fairly heavy gauge bezel.

Total weight is 26 grams.

This is a very old ring, though I don't know the exact age. It probably dates to the 1930's.
